Extensive Experience
The Harmonist Piano Services has been providing tuning and repairs to all makes and models of grand and upright pianos in the greater Montreal area since 2004.
Spike Taylor, RPT, is a proud member of the Piano Technicians Guild and has passed their 3 rigourous exams in tuning, repair and regulation. A 1998 graduate of the Piano Technology Department at George Brown College in Toronto, Spike moved to Montreal in that same year and apprenticed with the late Paul McGoldrick and then established himself for several years as a tuner/technician in New York City. Upon his return to Montreal in 2004, Spike has re-established his business by serving countless individual customers and many larger ones including the Schulich School of Music at McGill University and as a concert tuner/technician for Pianos-Andre-Bolduc. Additionally, he has served as a resident piano technician at The Banff Centre for the Arts, The Spring Foundation in post-hurricane-Katrina New Orleans, and with the Senda Piana to Havana project in Cuba.
Spike Taylor has the experience and resources to get any job done to the highest standard. He maintains a large inventory of piano parts, tools and supplies in his home workshop and is thus equipped to resolve any issues your piano may have.
